Millikin ties up loose defensive ends
Following a three game losing streak that saw the defense give up over
30 points in each contest, the Millikin football team finally won in

Student
athlete of the month
Every team needs a bonafide leader and someone to look to for guidance.
For the men’s cross country team that person is the lone senior,
Larry Huffman (Watseka H.S., Watseka, IL.). As a three-year captain,

and experience.
Boasting quite a few awards to help back his experience and expertise,
his credentials include two All-Conference awards for track, the team’s
Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the past two years, and is well on his
way to a third straight MVP award. He has managed to improve on his
times from one race to the next, which gives him greater hope of achieving
his ultimate goal of qualifying for Nationals in the post-season.
