01Millikin offers the B.A. and the B.S. in Early Childhood Education. Both degrees include a type 04 teaching certificate and a letter of approval in special education.  The B.A. provides a greater focus on language courses; the B.S. includes more courses in math and science.

The PACE program allows students to receive either degree through a format of accelerated courses.

PACE Students

Millikin’s PACE program provides accelerated classes for Early Childhood Education majors who are already part of the working world. The program focuses on one area at a time, with weekly class meetings. Certification and special ed letter of approval are part of the program, making the PACE Early Childhood Education program a great opportunity for working people to move forward with a career in this growing field.
