English Web Sites at Millikin

Web sites are about content ... about people looking for answers to their questions. It is only natural that English majors and English faculty—who are excellent writers, researchers, editors and designers—are busy creating and maintaining a wide range web sites.

English has always been a field concerned with writing, editing and publishing in all available media, so now we have expanded our area of expertise to web design. Meaningful content comes from careful reading, thorough research and exact writing. The web is a wonderful zone for English majors to explore and express their meaning-making abilities. We are glad to share some of the web sites English faculty and English students have created.

Each fall semester, students in the EN202 Writing About Literature class create book of critical essays on a single work of literature. This "Case Study" approach employs a variety of critical approaches and perspectives. For the last two years, the resulting publication has been an online Web Case Study Book.
