Lead out Loud

Are you ready to have your voice heard? Are you packed and ready to go?  Do you know where you are headed and what you hope to accomplish as you move forward?

No matter what your plan or what you are feeling, First Week will help you prepare for what is ahead as you leap into your first year experience. First Week will open your eyes to the many opportunities available to you as you join Big Blue, such as campus involvement, studying abroad, completing an internship at a Fortune 500 company, being a radio DJ on WJMU, starting an intramural team, participating on an alternative spring break, and much more. We will help you develop your skills while helping you to realize that the sky is the limit and the possibilities are endless over your next four years and beyond.

You will find that First Week is jammed packed with purposeful activities. You will learn indispensable information and make bonds with your peers that will last a lifetime, not only in your University Seminar class, but also with many other members of the Class of 2012. We challenge you to make this First Week the best week possible. We are committed to helping you succeed. Therefore, all activities during First Week are mandatory for all first year students.

You will recieve a booklet over the summer that will explain some of the major activities, and a general schedule is included. Do not worry if you feel a little confused. The Opening Assembly on the first night of First Week will provide you with all of the information you will need about where to be, what to bring, and what to expect. So, get excited and be yourself as we welcome you to Lead Out Loud during your Millikin experience.

Welcome to the Millikin University family! Go Big Blue!
