First-Year University Seminar
An integral part of your first week on campus is beginning your University Seminar course. As seen on the schedule, you will spend a fair amount of time with your fellow classmates, Orientation Leaders, and faculty. By beginning this first course before your other classes, you will begin to understand how your college courses will be different from your high school experience. You also will have an opportunity to make important connections with faculty members and Orientation Leaders. For important information regarding your itinerary for First Week, please refer to your individualized schedule.
Opening Convocation
As First Week draws to a close, Monday evening is a time for faculty and students (new and returning) to gather to celebrate the beginning of the academic year in the grand tradition of an academic convocation. Several faculty members, administrators, and student speakers will welcome you to campus. A slide show concludes the program, where you will be able to look back at your First Week experience.
