Haiku Magazine Profile: Acorn

 

Millikin University students have researched various magazines publishing haiku and haiku related poetry.

This is a profile of Acorn magazine, written by Andrea Roewe from the Fall 2002 Haiku Writing Roundtable class.

Submission Guidelines:

Original, unpublished haiku are welcomed from all writers, accompanied by SASE. (Appearance in an edited on-line journal or magazine constitutes prior publication.)

Payment will be made upon acceptance; all copyrights revert to author upon publication.

Submissions via email also acceptable (with complete mailing address included) at: missias@@earthlink.net (remove second @ before sending).

 

Acorn is a small biannual journal dedicated to publishing the best of contemporary English-language haiku. In particular, it showcases the individual poem and the ability of haiku to reveal the extraordinary moments found in everyday life.

Acorn publishes in October and April; submissions are due by the end of August and February, respectively.
