Submission Guidelines:

Frogpond has several guidelines for submitting work. Both members and non-members of the Haiku Society of America are allowed to submit work.

It is expected that one should have a thorough knowledge of Frogpond and the type of material it usually publishes. Also, material that is being submitted cannot be entered in any contents or other publications.

Frogpond is the official magazine of the Haiku Society of America.

Frogpond publishes up-to-date English language haiku. They also include senryu, renku, rengay, and haibun. Frogpond is published three times each year. Book reviews, articles and essays are also published in this magazine.

A response to work that is entered usually takes no longer than three weeks. However, allow more time if work is entered unless near a date of publication. Work cannot extend more than five poems on a single sheet of paper.

If any inquires should be sent, they should be sent on a separate piece of paper. The author’s name and address should appear at the top of each page. Both mailed and emailed submissions are welcomed. If mailed, a self-addressed envelope with the correct amount of postage should be included.
