This course will cover the basic biology of the human endocrine system, endocrine disorders, and endocrine-related topics from the media. Topics of interest will include growth and thyroid hormone disorders, breast cancer, hormone replacement therapy, and diabetes. Lab experience is included. This course satisfies the natural science with a lab requirement, and is also an elective for the Gender Studies minor.
