Description

This course is a laboratory-centered course for non-majors in which the fundamental concepts in chemistry will be investigated within the framework of their relevance to art. This course will explore the concepts of light, elements, organic and inorganic compounds, solubility, pH, chemical reactions, and more. Labs may include explorations of color, synthesis of pigments, experiments with various paint binders, and investigations of paper quality. Many of the labs will provide a medium for artistic expression.

Comments

Comments:  If there is a larger demand for the course, I can be flexible about the course size though 12 students is the ideal for the room.  I could also use LTSC 308.
