is, along with the Dominican Republic, by far the most popular
destination for Millikin students going abroad: over one third of
Millikin students studying abroad since Spring 1997 have gone to London,
both for a full semester and for immersion (including summer)
brief courses.

& Europe Spring semester 2007
London
Fall semester 2005: 17 students and two Millikin faculty
spent three months studying Shakespeare and other theatre, as well
as comparative culture and communications.

Huron
USA:
During
semesters when Millikin does not offer its own semester program in London,
Huron University is the option for Millikin students wishing to study in
London.
Three Millikin students were in London with Huron USA during the Spring
semester 2004, and five are signed up to go during the Spring semester
2005.

BritRail
covers the trains that run all over Britian, Wales and Scotland. You
can purchase passes for days of travel, which means you can travel
wherever you want during a range of 24 hour periods; and the
Flexipass is good for 4, 8, or 12 days over 2 months. Trips such
as to to Bath, Oxford, Dover, Edinburgh and York are covered on the pass.
The youth (under 26 years of age) Flexipass is about $290 for 8 days of travel and includes
Gatwick and Heathrow expresses; so you could use it to get from the airport
when you arrive in London. (Sample comparison: non-pass round trip youth
ticket London to Edinburgh purchased separately was $247 in August 2005.) With the pass you also get a
discount on tickets for the Eurostar (some as low as $90 roundtrip).
BUT YOU HAVE TO PURCHASE THESE PASSES IN THE U.S.,
they are not available in
Britain.
