Les Artistes-Peintres du 19eme siecle en France
(taught in English) Instructor: Mme Kathleen Lassau Dates: June 1 - 10 online; June 11- 21 in France
After the ten days spent online studying the artists we will see on our trip, we will travel to France to follow the footsteps of these famous 19th century artists from June 11th to June 21st. We will fly in to Paris and stay there a few days, then we will travel north to Normandy. Later we will head south on a fast train for the Provence and the French Riviera. The cost of the course + travel will be $4200.
Program: Online preliminary studies of artists for 10 days (two hours/day) + a 10-day trip to France. You will be studying great artists such as: Cezanne, Matisse, Monet, Van Gogh and Chagall.
During the preliminary phase of the course, you will study, write papers, and be tested on the backgrounds and works of the artists mentioned above. You must check in with Mme Lassau every day online and submit all assigned work on time. During the trip to France, you will experience firsthand the beauty and splendor of this country that so inspired them. In Paris, you will also get to see many of the works created by these artists and, as you travel around France, you will discover the geographical locations where some of their paintings were created or inspired. The trip will take you from Paris to the Normandy area to the Provence and the Côte d’Azur.

Costs:
$3522 Anyone going on the trip has to register with
ACIS (along with a $95 registration fee) by January 17 to get the $3,522
quoted price. After that, the price will go up by $300.
