GroupWise Groups with External Members

External Members means that the members of the group are not Students, Faculty or Staff of Millikin University. You can have groups that contain both external members and also internal members.

ADDING MEMBERS TO AN EXISTING GROUP

1. Go into your Contacts folder
2. Double-click on the Group that you would like to edit
3. Go to the details tab

4. Click on the Add button
5. Make sure that your name is showing in the "Look In" drop-down box
6. Click on New Contact

7. You must enter at least a first initial and last name for the contact
8. Enter their Email Address in the blank and click on the Add button
9. Click OK
10. Double-Click on your new contact to add them to the list
11. When you have added all of the external contacts that you need, click OK to save the changes
12. Then click on OK to save the group

 

CREATING A NEW GROUP OF EXTERNAL MEMBERS

1. Open a new Mail message
2. Enter your external addresses in the To: line

3. Click on the Address button

4. Click on "Save Group" at the bottom of the window
5. Give the group a name
6. Click OK
7. Then click OK again to go back to message
8. Your group has now been created and stored in your personal Address Book.
