How to Maintain MU Websites
Maintaining
Millikin department and organization websites
is an important way to keep the campus community
informed of new information that is happening
with that department or organization, and can
actually be a fairly simple process. There are
just a few basic steps to edit a webpage:
- Open up Microsoft FrontPage.
- Go the File menu, then Open.
- On the left hand side of the Open window, click on My Network Places.
- In the file list box in the middle of the window, look for an item that says yourorganization on www.millikin.edu; if it exists, double-click on that item (log in if prompted) then open the file you want to work on.
- If you don't find your organization in the list, in the filename box, type in /yourorganization and click open. Log in with the username and password the University webmaster gave you.
- Click on the file you want to edit, then click on the open button.
Make your changes; when done, be sure to save the file.
