How to Block Spam Emails
With the large amount of junk
email and spam that is traversing the Internet
today, it can take a large amount of time
to weed through the junk to find your legitimate
emails. There actually is an easy to take
care of the spam you're receiving. Just follow
these steps:

**NOTE that this will only work on campus
through the GroupWise 6.5 client. If you do
not have version 6.5, please go to this
page.
1. Open up GroupWise to where you have your
message list on the right hand side, but don't
open any emails.
2. Click on the spam email with your right
mouse button, then go down to Junk Mail, then
to Block Sender.
3. It will bring up a new window with two
options - Block email from this address and
Block any email from this internet domain.
4. If the email comes from somewhere that
you might receive legitimate email from in
the future (such as user@msn.com; user@insightbb.com;
user@aol.com) make sure that you don't use
the second option, or your legitimate emails
will be deleted as well.
5. If it is from somewhere that you will never
receive legitimate email (such as user@fqyz.com;
user@new.email.test.com) you can feel free
to use the second option.
6. Select the option you want to use, then
click the OK button.
If you have any questions or problems, please
