Accessing Network Drives in OS 10.2

If you want to access your Home Directory from on-campus with a Macintosh running OS 10.2, the process is relatively straightforward and just requires eight steps, listed below:

  1. Click on the Go menu.
  2. Click on the Connect to Server...
  3. In the server address box, type in afp://munwfile2.millikin.edu, then click on Connect.
  4. It will now ask you to log in. Type in your network username and password.
  5. Next, you will be asked which share you want to access. Click on Data and then click OK.
  6. If you are accessing your Home Directory, double-click on the Home folder in the window that will open up. If you are accessing G-Share, double-click on the Share folder in the window that will open up.
  7. When you have completed using your Home Directory or G-Share, you will want to log out of the server. To do this, drag the icon created on the desktop to the trash can on the dock.
