How do I access the Internet in OS X?

To set up your Mac for the MU Network in OS X, there are just a few steps to follow. For this to work, you must have an ethernet card installed and working prior to these steps.

1. Open up System Preferences, then clicking on the Network icon under the Internet and Network section.

2. Make sure that Built-in Ethernet is selected in the Show: box, and that the TCP/IP tab is selected. Under Configure, select Using DHCP. Your screen should then look similar to the picture below (although your numbers for IP address, etc. may be different).

3. Click the Apply Now button, then close the window.
