Account Expiration Policy --- Removal of Student Network and Email Accounts and Home Directories
Student Drops or Withdrawals
A drop/withdrawal
list is generated by the IT Department and
accounts are disabled immediately. Accounts
are deleted
in one week.
Graduates
After graduation, a list is generated
by the IT Department.
All graduates are allowed to retain their
accounts for twelve months.
Eleven months
after graduation, the graduates
are notified by email that their accounts
will be
shut off in one month. On the
twelfth month, the
graduate’s email and network
accounts are shut off and their
home directories
are purged.
Alumni
All former Millikin students will retain their
MUOnline account, which gives them access
to the Alumni Directory
and all their academic records. Contact the
IT Help Desk (217-362-6488) for assistance
in logging into this account.
Employees
When Millikin employees leave their employment,
their email and network accounts are removed
from the system. Their home directory is
no longer available.
