Why?

The cost and use of technology is growing. Millikin has continued to provide more and more technology services. As recently as five years ago, most of the services listed below were not available, now they are utilitarian and continue to increase. In order to maintain the present services and provide funds that will enable the university to keep pace with the rapid changes in technology innovation, a technology fee is necessary.

The fee will not cover the cost of all technology services provided. The university will not make extra money from technology fees. The fees collected will cover less than half of what it costs to deliver the present technology to the campus.

Part-time students - yes
PACE and MBA students have a separate structure

How much will I be charged?

Full-time students (12 credit hours and above) - $150 per semester
Part-time students (under 12 credit hours) - $75 per semester

• MU Online (registration, records, bills, grades, and upcoming degree audit online)
• Technology Help Desk
• Multimedia rooms
• Media Services equipment
• Listservs
• Email stations
• Academic software (SPSS, Derive, Chemistry, Math, Nursing, etc.)
• Antivirus software for all the Millikin network
• Antivirus software provided for students/staff/faculty for their personally owned computers (some restrictions apply)
• Internet access
• Infrastructure equipment and cabling for network
