ePolicy Download & Installation
Millikin University uses McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator for
the installation and maintenance of its virus software. This software
is available for download by all Millikin students, faculty, staff,
and administration as well, for use on their personal computers. It
is responsible for automatically installing the virus software itself,
as well as virus definition updates as they become available. In order
to install this software, you will need to go to the link below and
install the ePolicy Orchestrator client. Full instructions are available
on the page that you are able to download the client from.
Make sure that you uuninstall any
virus protection software you may have on your computer first. This
includes any existing versions of McAfee VirusScan, McAfee.com, Norton
Antivirus, PC-Cillin, AVG Antivirus, VCatch, or other virus protection
software. These may conflict with the version of McAfee VirusScan that
will be distributed to your computer. After you
uninstall your virus scanning software, restart your computer and install
the McAfee Virus Scan software. Finally, After you install ePolicy,
and the blue VShield icon shows up in your
taskbar, click the link to deply Virus Scan. (when prompted, click Open
or Run.) You might also want to disable any self-installed firewall
software, as this can prevent you from accessing secure websites.

3. Deploy Virus Scan - change your
computer's date forward by a day by double-clicking
on the clock in the lower right-hand part
of your window, and it will force an instant
deployment.
