The Ray George Catalogue, created by Bronze Man Books, will be available for purchase at a reduced rate of $30 during the exhibition opening on November 6. This unique book is a collection of George's works as well as a compilation of stories from family and friends. Letters from George as well as other important documents are all contained with-in the paperback catalogue. Cost is $35 and available through Bronze Man Books, Blue Connection Art Gallery, and the Millikin University Art Department.

Blue Connection will feature the work of Spotlight Artist Tabitha Pennekamp. A Millikin University Senior B.F.A. Studio Art student, Tabitha's exhibit will include a variety of works including paintings, prints, and ceramics. Tabitha explores textures through vibrant colors in her paintings and prints while her ceramics demonstrate explorations in pattern and function. The Millikin University Guitar Ensemble will perform live music throughout the evening and complimentary refreshments will be served.

Second Annual High School Invitational Juried Art Show

The objective of the show is for art teachers to debut their students’ talent, as well as provide a “next level” opportunity for growth in the visual arts. The student artists are encouraged to price their works and offer them for sale at the show, promoting entrepreneurship. The exhibit featurs the best works of art from Central Illinois regional high schools.
Submissions will be guest-judged by Illinois State University art professors James Butler and Richard Finch, as well as members of the Millikin University art faculty.

Chili Bowl Benefit Supper

At this special supper event, guests will be served chili or soup in handmade ceramic bowls in exchange for a donation of $12 to fight hunger. Guests keep their bowls to serve as a reminder. All proceeds to benefit the Good Samaritan Inn. Bowls are made and donated by Millikin University faculty and student artists.
