The
emphasis of the Media Arts Center is student learning.
The center supports active learning approaches to graphic
design, video and student publishing. In addition to
studying great works of art and the traditions of publishing,
our students learn to perform at professional levels
of graphic design, video production and publishing. The
students learn by doing, by creating, by serving various
clients in the creation of artifacts and publications.
The center provides a shared space for students in related
areas to work together and intensely to create contemporary
works that cross the traditional boundaries of print,
video and various art media.
