resume critique |
http://www.eresumeiq.com/Thomas-Stedman.html http://www.eresumeiq.com/Jacob-Fay.html#work these are my two reb resumes. I like the first one better than the second, however i like the first one for functional reasons, which is more important, the second web resume does have a better aesthetic. I am not happy with the second resume for the fact that there is no other back to top buttons throught out the page and i think that he could of had more of an interesting website if he had other pages to go along with his buttons like it does in the first resume. In the first one, there is a back to top button when a certain page gets long and it has many different pages which makes it very clean and easy. I also think the first resume's navigation bar is better and overall is better designed, i just wish they had spent more time on the visual aesthetic of it, but that's probably because i'm a graphic designer. |

i was very impressed with carrie's links page. as far as design, it is very clean and well organized, i also enjoy her choice of colors on the links and annotations. i also like her graphic text for the main titles. i enjoyed the worm font especially with the changes she made to it with the glow on it. i think i like her links page because she only has one graphic, which i like because it is a links page and i feel that a links page should be very clean. As far as navigation, she has it set up very well. all of her links work, and her headline tags at the top of the page link to each link section well. she also has a back to home button and a link to here haiku site which i thought was necessary. everything carrie did i thought was laid out well and i was impressed how she was able to make it look so good yet kept it simple. |

| favorite website |
my favorite website is http://www.methanestudios.com. i was doing a reasearch project on graphic designers when i came across this website. i like this website because it has a very simple navigation bar and is well designed. i also like the way they display their posters by showing a fraction of it in the icons. aside from the website aspect they have some really good artwork in here which makes it visually pleasing. |

Bolter Chapter 1. how far could technology take this? 2. what could these mean for people in the publishing world? |

Chapter 5 |
i thought chapter 5 was very helpful. As much as i hate the tedious work of linking icons, dreamweaver made it really easy and a little bit quicker to do. making a link in flash is a lot more complicated so i was glad to see that you can do it in dreamweaver with relative ease. my favorite part of linking is where you can click and hold down the target icon next to the link bar and drag the mouse over to the web pages window and select the page you can link to. this saves you the time of having to browse through the computers documents to find it or having to remember what the web pages full name was in order to type it in the link bar. i also like how you can simply highlight a word and then make it a link. it just seems really thought out on dreamweaver which is awesome for people who want to focus more on the visual aspect of websites. |
