The Millikin University School of Music is pleased to present their annual Collage Concert to be held Saturday, Sept. 22 at 7:30 p.m. in the Kirkland Fine Arts Center.
The Collage Concert features an evening of wonderful music, showcasing some of Millikin’s finest musical talent. The performance will showcase a variety of music appropriate for each ensemble, with selections sure to please all audience members.
The concert will include the University Choir, under the direction of Brad Holmes; the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Gary Shaw; the String Arts Ensemble, under the direction of Michael Luxner; OneVoice, under the direction of Stephen Widenhofer; Jazz Band I, under the direction of Randy Reyman; Guitar Ensemble I, under the direction of Manley Mallard, and Percussion Ensembles, under the direction of Brian Justison.
“The Collage Concert is a wonderful way for the audience to watch and hear our finest ensembles in miniature, that is, each performing a very short set of pieces, one after another,” remarked Stephen Widenhofer, director of the School of Music. “The evening is fast-paced and very entertaining.”
