The James Millikin Homestead hosts several events throughout the year. These events allow the community, and especially children, to come together and experience Decatur's heritage.

Public Tours

The home is open for tours the last Sunday of the months, April through October from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

$2.00 for adults, 50¢ for children.

The Homestead is open for rentals. Discounts are available for Homestead members. For information and to reserve your date, call:

Great Bargains & Collectibles. Bring the whole family to The Millikin Homestead for this great sale at 125 N. Pine St. in Decatur. Admission is free and all funds raised will be used for restoration & preservation of the Homestead. Victorian Doll Tea

A Biennial event, which is a high tea, featuring sandwiches, cookies, tea and soft drinks.

Bring your daughter or granddaughter and her favorite doll for a delicious lunch, antique displays of dolls, doll houses, quilts, a raffle and more.

Two sittings, 11:30 and 1:30.
Adults $8.00 and Children $4.00.
