Library

The library was used as Mr. Millikin's study.

The woodwork here, as in all parts of the house, is either walnut or butternut.

The carving on the console wainscoting and bookcases is hand-done by an unknown woodworker.

The closet on the north wall, near the slate fireplace, is quite large, unusual for the time.

The "necessary room" was installed in the 1883 remodeling. The most noticeable design aspect of this room is the two-color wood paneling. Click here to see a photo of this woodwork.
