Audition music for all wind and brass
instruments is available below to download and print. Auditions
are required for participation in the Symphonic Wind Ensemble and University
Concert Band. All Auditions will be held in Room 136 at the Kirkland
Fine Arts Center. Sign up for your audition at the PMC lobby desk.
In addition to the required prepared piece, students will be asked
to sight read. Assignments and seating will be posted in the
School of Music Lobby on Tuesday, August 26 by 5 p.m. Rehearsals will
begin on August 27. The University Concert Band rehearsal time
is M, W and F 12:00-12:50 p.m. The Symphonic Wind Ensemble rehearsal
time is M and W 3:15-4:45 p.m. and (F 3:15-4:30 p.m. as scheduled)
Audition schedule:
Sunday, August 24 – Freshmen only
1-3 p.m. – All woodwinds
3-5 p.m. – All brass
Monday, August 25 – Upperclassmen
9:30-10:30 – flutes
10:30 – 11:30 – clarinet/saxophone
11:30-12:30 – All brass
1:00 -2 p.m. – Double reeds
2-3:30 p.m. – clarinet/saxophone
3:30-5 p.m. – All brass
