Fall Semester 2007
Spring Semester 2008
Dear Fellow Members of the Millikin Family,
It was great to see many of you at the Parent’s Association meeting during Fall Family Weekend Sept. 22, and at Homecoming weekend Oct. 6. The Big Blue spirit is truly alive and well!
My name is Tamme King, and I am the new president of Millikin’s Parent’s Association. My husband Jay and I have a son Jayson, who is on Millikin’s basketball team. We take pride in the fact our family is actively involved in the Millikin experience!
The purpose of the Parent’s Association is to help parents partner with the Dean of Student’s Office to better support our students. As parents we want to keep up to date with events that impact our students and through communication pieces like this newsletter, it is now possible. Please make a point to read the informative articles and important dates. Surprise your student by ordering a Survival Kit that can be delivered during finals week.
The next Parent’s Association meeting is Saturday, Feb. 16 at 3 p.m. in the Richards Treat University Center. Parents will have the opportunity to meet with key staff to talk about student-centered issues like successful campus involvement, academic support services, parent communication tips, and much more. Please join me by attending this informative and interactive day. Dinner will also be served at the end of the meeting.
Please send us your feedback and questions. Dean Womack and I will respond to any questions you have as quickly as possible. I look forward to your support and involvement. Go Big Blue!
Sincerely,
Tamme King Parent’s Association President
Fall sports are winding down and starting to prepare for their runs at CCIW Championships. The women’s soccer team has broken nearly every record in the program’s history.
