Fall Semester 2007
Spring Semester 2008
Get Connected: Helping Your Student Engage in Campus Life through Co-Curricular Involvement
At Millikin University, the opportunities for your student to be involved or to connect with other students are endless. Every day on our campus, students can engage in many activities that connect their in-class learning to outside of the classroom experiences. These opportunities present themselves in many ways, such as through programs offered by the various academic areas and departments:
If your student is telling you that he is “bored” or “has nothing to do,” you can help him get connected to other students and to this campus by talking with him more about what he is most interested in. Then, you can help support the Office of Student Programs and your student by directing her to our office or website, where the full listing of student organizations is available, as well as the Campus Events Calendar (which is updated regularly). Students and family members alike can visit the Office of Student Programs website (www.millikin.edu/student_programs) to access and download these items. Students can also visit the Office of Student Programs in Lower Richards Treat University Center at any time, where we can connect them with many involvement options. We are open Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm, and are also available for questions at osp@millikin.edu at any time.
There are several opportunities remaining during the Fall 2007 semester. Below are just a few of the programs taking place during the remainder of this semester:
