Object: Full Moon next to Mars

Description: This is a direct size comparison of a Full Moon to Mars. On the night of December 23rd, 2007 the path of the Moon and Mars were within half a degree from each other. This window of opportunity only occurs for one hour before the objects moved a relativity great distance apart.

Telescope: Meade 8" LX200. Telescope was only used as a tripod as the camera was bolted to a screw on the top of the telescope tube
