Date: May 27, 2007 Object: M13; Hercules Globular Cluster Description: M13 is the brightest globular cluster which is visible from the Northern Hemisphere. Found in the Hercules constellation, this 5th magnitude object has a diameter of approx 10' and can be seen with the naked eye. M13 contains an estimated 300,000 stars and lies 23,000 light-years from Earth.
