Object: M3

Description: M3 is a globular cluster that can easily be seen, even with a small telescope. This object appears as a 6th magnitude "star" even though the brightest stars that make up this cluster are only 12th magnitude and dimmer. This cluster has an approximate diameter of 10 arcminutes and is of great intrest due to the great numbers of varible stars contain within it.
