Why did you come to Millikin or why are you interested in physics?
Millikin University has provided me with many unique experiences that I could not receive at other schools. As an incoming freshman physics major, I was not sure what awaited me in terms of academic achievement and involvement during my first few years here. Within the first week of class though, I was already in the lab, working with my colleagues, performing experiments. And due to the small class sizes, I got personal interaction with my professors.

The opportunities I have had at Millikin have not stopped in the classroom. Thanks to Millikin's facilities and equipment, mainly with Leighty-Tabor Science Center's 20" telescope and observation dome, along with several 8" portable telescope, I have been able to explore the field of astronomy and astrophotography. Working with both faculty and professionals in the surrounding area, I have been able to further my education outside of the curriculum. Through these opportunities and many more, I believe that Millikin has and will provide me with a great education.
