The department received a makeover in 2007 as three new faculty members
arrived at Millikin. The political science faculty is revising the major and
reinvigorating the department’s student groups. The department will begin
providing programming to assist in the university’s effort to instill an ethic
of democratic citizenship and participation among the student body.

Keiko Ono has a background in journalism, covering politics in Washington,
D.C. and focuses on elections, political behavior, and media in politics.

Alexa Royden served as a policy analyst at the Pentagon and specializes in
comparative and international politics. She has particular interests
in Chinese and European politics as well as global conflict studies.

J. Mark Wrighton is a former APSA Congressional Fellow who served on
the staff of the House Republican Policy Committee and has published
extensively on American political institutions and congressional elections.
