KirkOut

KirkOut is a program that connects people to special learning opportunities that originate as fine or performing arts events at Kirkland Fine Arts Center and Millikin University.

Chamber Series
The KirkOut: Chamber Series is an informal lecture-recital series offering the audience an experience that combines informative dialogue with great creative exchanges. Click here for the 2009-2010 Season.

Curtain Talks
The Millikin University Department of Theatre and Dance cordially invites you to attend Curtain Talks, a series of informal discussions immediately following the Friday night performance of each mainstage production. Cast, crew, designers and directors will gather in the theatre after curtain and discuss YOUR reactions, insights, and questions. Theatre is not theatre without an audience. Without you, we are just talking to ourselves. We want and need to hear what you have to say!

Coffee Conversations
Kirkland Fine Arts Center has partnered with Starbucks Coffee on Mound Road and local community arts organizations to present Coffee Conversations. These discussions provide an open dialogue among the Decatur community about how the fine arts can better serve our region. Check back soon for the next meeting revolving around the topic "Arts in Education." Gatherings are held at various fine arts venues around the Decatur area and include complimentary beverages.

Lobby Entertainment
Kirkland wants to showcase your talent in our lobby during our Series performances. E-mail kirkout@millikin.edu with your group or solo names, type of performance, and technical requirements and we will work with you on setting up a special showcase! Performance attendance ranges from 400 to 1,800 patrons, making our lobby entertainment the perfect opportunity for local performers to be seen and heard.
