Turnitin, the plagiarism prevention system used at Millikin, announced that it has now partnered with
EBSCO--Staley Library's major database provider--to include thousands of journals in its plagiarism checking results.
Turnitin checks student papers against four targets:
- material on the Web
- the "archived" Web
- selected Library databases
- other student papers
Since implementing Turnitin in 2005, over 6,300 Millikin student papers have been submitted through the system. Check out the
Turnitin FAQ web page for more information.
If you are an instructor and would like an account, contact
Joe Hardenbrook, Educational Technology Coordinator/Librarian. He will also visit classes to demonstrate how to submit work through Turnitin.
