11. The connection is toooo slow!!!

1. I feel a simple direct link from the main page to the renewal page is needed. Also the Library ID number can be simplified.
2. this is a very confusing question! I don't know what your exactly asking
3. certain documents can not be found or do not show the whole thing.
4. I would love to see an on-line version of "The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians," but do realize that it is very expensive. Still, I think the students of the School of Music would benefit very much from it.
5. It is very difficult to determine what journals the library has access to through its databases and at Millikin. I believe JAKE was a better search engine for looking up journal citations. If I need a specific article citation, it is a wild goose hunt when trying to find a database that has the correct citation.
6. Not enough available books
7. The periodical and online database searches are often confusing. I also wish there was a way to search multiple databases at the same time, like Wilson Select and Academic Search Premier, instead of having to do separate and multiple searches.
8. Access to J-stor online journal source would be beneficial.
9. Some search sites do not have a wide variety of articles, as you find in paper in the library.
10. I know how to get to the things I need to access, but other than that, I really don't know what is available.
11. sorry illeterate, cant read the web site.
12. I wish the Library subscribed to JSTOR.
13. I wish the library subscribed to more research databases. I heavily used JSTOR in graduate studies. Now I have to travel to the U of I if I wish to use it.
6. In what ways could the Library web site be improved?
 Total Respondents
53
(skipped this question)  72
1. i like the website the way it is because it is easy to access everything.
2. I would like to see more detailed information about MLA, APA, and other styles of citations. Also I would like to see more links to websites containing such information.
3. Make things a little more clear, like a direction sheet pointing where to go to find something.
4. Limited your research a little more.
5. Speed
6. it looks a bit messy. Although I like the colorful/messy look, it seems a bit unorganized. Looking at it now, I realize I only look at the boxes in the middle--i've never looked at what is above and to the left of them.
7. Try to make it more intuitive and linear.
8. it is alright by me.
9. It's hard to find some of the search tools. It could be a little easier to navigate.
10. There are a lot links and it seems difficult to find what it is that I am looking for.
11. more eye appealing and easier to navigate
12. ...if there were more links that go directly to the things students use the most...
13. I find the website easy to use and understand.
14. More headings could apear on the first page allowing people to move to more qickly through the website, rather than clicking on random things while getting no where
15. I think the web design could use some updating. Also, whenever I try and look for research, I always wind up looking in the wrong place first. The titles of the pages, particularly "Information by Subject" and "Research Assistance" can be misleading.
16. It's layered really bad in that when you go to search for one thing you provided with a lot of uneccesary information.
17. I like it
18. Drop down menus rather than having to click to see if what you want is in the next layer.
19. Provide a link to a cite map on the main page.
20. The library website is hard to navigate through. I find it a chore to look through because finding material or information using it is not very helpful. On occation I will find what I'm looking for, but that is rare.
21. I think it would be very beneficial to simplify the website more. As the last page said, there are too many layers when trying to get to something. Like trying to find the library hours, that's something that should be easier to find but it takes like three links to get to it.
22. The data base could have more HTMLs and PDFs because it is much faster to jut print them off rather than go looking for the item and then having to check it out.
23. More online academic databases need to be added. For example, JSTOR is a wonderful database and could be used for many disciplines. We need it. And others.
24. If there was a link to a site map that gave you a map of the links and such, I think it would be much easier to navigate. Some websites have that, and I understand what is where easier.
25. Improve the way to get to the MLA web site. It takes a long process for something very useful for hundreds of students (English, etc.) and faculty.
26. I think that the site is good until you have to start finding all of the periodicals using the databases, that is when I get lost and confused.
27. Faster!!
28. Searchers must sift through too many links when trying to find what they are looking for. I never know where to find specific search items such as PDR, Britanica online, and other such items. It is also frustrating that the time out is so short while searching. I realize it might be standard for search engines, but I do not understand why it is so short for searching Millikin holdings. I also think searching the Millikin holdings can be confusing and extremely frustrating. I have had problems finding the call number of an item I know Millikin.
29. It could easily have a better design.
30. The photo on the main page is ALWAYS pixelated. The main page announces that the library has had a website for a decade, but no one has learned how to use Photoshop to resize a photo for viewing onscreen.
31. have a direct link to Millinet to look up books instead of having to go through 2 other links first!!!
32. The library website can be improved by having more links to the certain types of books that students look for everyday.
33. Perhaps a similar format to other Millikin sites. It's much more difficult to navigate than other Milli-sites.
34. Perhaps clearer topics on the home page.
35. Just narrow down the information that shows up, I know that is hard, but that is the only thing i can think of.
36. More articles on different topics, such as nursing articles.
37. I don't know
38. I like it.
39. easier ways to nagivate through the site in general.
40. Fewer layers to the site
41. I'd like the site to be easier to be able to locate my information I need.
42. i think it's fine
43. Accessing account information could be easier
44. I think that current layout designs are always a positive thing, as long as buttons/links remain consistent.
45. Make a link straight to "My account" on the homepage.
46. Not sure
47. little more colorful around the background and pictures.
48. pritty pictures! Sound effects! java Tetris.
49. it is very helpful now
50. More databases such as JSTOR and Project Muse. More government information included on the web site--such as Marchive records in the Library catalog.
51. a more consistant layout. "Information by subject" should actually be orginzed by subject. For example, under Business would be all the links for business, reference, periodicals, etc.
52. Fewer clicks to get to what I need.
53. make it less "cartoonish" looking
7. What else would you like to be able to do on the Library web site?

1. Order magizines and music.
2. I'm not sure.
3. nothing
4. It would be nice to have an image database so I could find images that I might need.
5. I would like to see a more organized site.
6. be able to look up old newspaper articles... unless you can already do that and I just don't know about it
7. Again, I can't really think of anything right now. I like the fact that I can access the site for reference material after the library has closed, and check the due dates on materials I have checked out.
8. nothing really
9. I'm not sure if you can reserve books from your computer at Staley Library and then pick them up later at the circulation desk. If we can do that, I wish that had been emphasized. If not, that would be nice.
10. I would like to see a clear organized links to take me directly to what I need to save me time and make my visits more productive.
11. Here's a radical wish. At the University of Cincinnati, when you find a book on a specific topic, you can click a link that shows you what's on either side of the book. It doesn't quite replace actually going into the stacks, but it's very nice.
12. find information that I'm looking for when I look for it.
13. Nothing
14. I think everything I would like to do is there, its just a matter of making it easier to access instead of going through so many other links first.
15. I have found your staff pleasant & helpful. As a PACE student & not being in school about 20 years, I appreciate everything you have done to try and bring me up to speed!
16. I want to be able to have more access to periodicals because there is never enough available like at the other schools. i shouldnt have to request everything like this Interlibrary loan.
17. I would like to be able to search a cross-referenced database page so I don't have to go through and search each electronic database individually. It would be great if the databases like Wilson Select and Academic Search Premier could be part of the same search.
18. Is it possible to reserve books over the internet? If you could that would be nice.
19. Have it do my homework.
20. I don't know
21. access email?
22. Ask library people from my room questions about how to do certian things while writing a people instead of email.
23. I would like to be able to access the Oxford English Dictionary from off campus (perhaps with a password?)
24. nothing really
25. Nothing
26. I think it's very helpful as is.
27. Can't think of anything else.
28. order pizza/beer.
29. I would like to see J-Store on the library site.
30. Search all sources at the same time, instead of having to search the catalog, databases, etc., separately.
31. request books that I could pick up
