Federation of Gay Games "The purpose of the the Federation of Gay Games is to foster and augment the self-respect of lesbians and gay men throughout the world and to engender respect and understanding from the nongay world, primarily through an organized international participatory athletic and cultural even held every four years, and commonly known as the Gay Games." This site contains a calendar of events, information for athletes, news, and more information on the Federation.

Human Kinetics Human Kinetics publishes in the areas of sport and exercise science, sports medicine and rehabilitation, aging and physical activity, sport management and marketing, sports, fitness, wellness, and exercise, coaching, strength and conditioning, physical education and health, recreation, and dance. They maintain a page of links on sports and fitness topics.

SIRC: A World of Sports Information Links on sports careers, current worldwide sports news, and links to articles and resources on a variety of sports and related topics like hazing, technology in sport, nutrition, sports and parents, and more. SIRC also creates SportDiscus, a subscription database to which Staley Library subscribes.

Athletic Training

Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) CAATE is the accrediting agency for degrees in athletic training. Use this site to search for accredited programs, read CAATE newsletters, or investigate program accreditation standards.

Great Lakes Athletic Trainers' Association (GLATA) Covers the states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin. Newsletters, meeting info., and information on how to subscribe to the GLATA list-serv for athletic trainers, sports medicine professionals, and students.

The Library and Giamatti Research Center at Baseball's Hall of Fame Most of this collection of photos, books, periodicals, and other materials is not digitized, but researchers can see what materials are housed in this archive, and research services are available by contacting the library.

Major League Baseball Current and historical MLB baseball information, including historical statistics back through the 1871 season, oral histories, short videos, team histories, and draft information.

Negro League Baseball Players Association Information on the history of the teams, athletes, ballparks, and artifacts of the Negro League. Includes links to related sites and a bibliography of related books and reference materials.

The Society for American Baseball Research The mission of this organization is "to foster research and dissemination of the history and record of baseball." The site includes The Baseball Biography Project, the Collegiate Database, a catalog of baseball literature, the Triple Plays Database (1876-present), and members-only content such as access to the society's two periodicals, The Baseball Research Journal and The National Pastime.

Spalding Baseball Guides An online exhibit from the Library of Congress, this site includes a selection of 35 Spalding's Official Base Ball Guides and Official Indoor Base Ball Guides from 1889 to 1939. A good source for historical statistics, images, analysis, rules, and editorials.
