H-Net: Humanities and Social Sciences Online. H-Net is an network of moderated e-mail discussion lists on humanities and social sciences topics. This Web site contains sign-on information for the discussion lists, as well as book reviews, course syllabi, bibliographies, announcements and many related links. The Arts & Humanities section of the Argus Clearinghouse contains links to a number of guides in these subject areas. The Argus Clearinghouse was established by University of Michigan librarians in 1993 as the Clearinghouse for Subject-Oriented Internet Resource Guides, and it is presently maintained by Argus Associates. Each site on the over 1,000 guides is rated according to set criteria, and each broad subject section can be searched using your own words.
Librarians' Index to the Internet, which originates at the Berkeley Public Library, is a searchable subject directory of more than 3,000 annotated Internet resources. Of particular interest to the academic researcher are the sections on the Arts, Business, World Cultures and Languages, Disabilities, Education including Distance Learning, Gay-Lesbian-Bisexual topics, Government including Federal and International, Health & Medicine, History, Law including Censorship & Copyright, Literature, Men, Music of all genres, Statistics, Religions, and Women.

TC: A Journal of Biblical Textual Criticism. The site features peer-reviewed scholarly articles, book reviews, commentary, and project reports on the study of Jewish and Christian Biblical texts. A fully peer-reviewed journal. Includes links to related sites.
Grammars: "... links to dozens of on-line tutorials, grammar guides, and reference materials. The languages include the widely used, such as Spanish and German, and the rare, like Quechua .... [and] also covers extinct languages such as Akkadian which was used in Mesopotamia in 3000 B.C."
