Mental Health Net: This site is a comprehensive guide to mental health online (over 4,200 resources). It offers a reading room, professional resources, mental health administration, self-help resources, a calendar and other links. This site is searchable.

The Argus Clearinghouse is the premier collection of subject-arranged Internet guides. The Argus Clearinghouse was established by University of Michigan librarians in 1993 as the Clearinghouse for Subject-Oriented Internet Resource Guides, and it is presently maintained by Argus Associates. Each site on the over 1,000 guides is rated according to set criteria, and each broad subject section can be searched using your own words. The Social Sciences and Social Issues section includes guides to Adoption, Aging, Gerontology, Death and Dying, Mental Health, Parenting, Families, Marriage, Social Work, and Social Justice.

PRAXIS: Resources for Social and Economic Development: Contains resources on international and comparative social development, social science WWW links, links to social work and social welfare organizations, development assistance agencies, resources on historically disadvantaged population groups, country and regional resources, funding resources, information on careers in social and economic development and more. The White House's Social Statistics Briefing Room: Provides links to information compiled by Federal agencies in the areas of demographics, crime, education and health.

National Assosciation of Social Work: Contains information about the NASW and their activities, facts about social work, information about social work education and certification, the New Social Work Code of Ethics, and Internet links to NASW chapters and other sites of interest to social workers (government agencies, alcohol and drug abuse, non-profit organizations.)

Child Welfare: This site contains an electronic journal--Child Welfare Review, information about children and the Internet (including KidSites), and Internet links to journals, organizations, think tanks, and news sources about issues concerning child welfare.
