Your Student Organization Account

If you have questions about your account, please contact one of the following two offices:

  • Student Service Center, Shilling, 424-6313

  • Office of Student Programs, LRTUC, 424-6335

 

Budgeting

  • Keep a budget for your student organization outlining funds received and expenses
  • Keep accurate financial records including copies of all transactions
  • Make decisions with consideration to your budget
  • Review your online account at least once per month

 

Using Your Account

All necessary forms to complete the following transactions are available in the OSP and in the Student Service Center. The organization's president or treasurer and the advisor must sign all forms. If you need an account balance, this can be done in the Student Service Center.

Purchases and Reimbursements

  • Fill out a Check Request Form and turn it into the Student Service Center

  • Be sure to have receipts or invoices that correspond to the check request and your student ID
  • Allow time for the check to be processed (2 week minimum)
  • Keep a copy of the request and receipt(s) for your records

 

Cash Box

  • If you are selling items and need change, you can obtain a cash box from the Student Service Center

  • Requests for cash boxes need must be submitted at least 3 days before the event

 

Deposits

  • Cash and check deposits are both accepted

  • Fill out a Deposit form
  • Make a copy for your records
  • Turn the form in to the Student Service Center

 

Transferring Funds

  • Student organizations may transfer funds to other University accounts
  • Use the Funds Transfer form and submit it to the Student Service Center
