Education:
Dr. Smith obtained his B.B.A. and Master of Accountancy from the University of Georgia and received a Ph.D. from the American University of London, England. Dr. Smith is also a Certified Public Accountant in Georgia and Illinois. 

Scholarship:
Dr. Smith recently published his article “Student Internships: Would a Member of the Faculty Want One?” and delivered a seminar on Internal Audit for Top Flight Grain Cooperative on December 6, 2005.

Professional Activities:
Dr. Brown has even offered his expertise to the general public. He served as a judge at the Illinois DECA State Career Development Conference and now serves on the board of the Illinois Foundation for Marketing Education. He also assists with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program at Millikin University, which coordinates student volunteers providing free tax assistance to low income citizens.
