Ismael Roig
Ismael Roig is Vice President-Planning and Business Development for Archer Daniels Midland.
Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) is a world leader in agricultural processing. ADM is one of the world's largest processors of soybeans, corn, wheat and cocoa. ADM is also a leader in the production of soy meal and oil, ethanol, corn sweeteners and flour. In addition, ADM produces value-added food and feed ingredients. Headquartered in Decatur, Illinois, ADM has over 26,000 employees, more than 250 processing plants and net sales for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2007 of $44 billion.
As head of Planning and Business Development, Mr. Roig focuses on M&A, strategic analysis, market research and support of future strategic projects and initiatives.
Prior to ADM, Mr. Roig spent eleven years with General Motors
Corporation in various finance and control positions. Most recently,
he was the Controller at General Motors do Brasil in Sao Paulo. Mr.
Roig joined GM's Corporate New York Treasury Office in 1993 and
held several positions, which included assignments in New York,
Singapore and Brussels. He received his Bachelors of Science degree
from the University of Reading in the United Kingdom and a Masters
of Science degree in engineering from the Cranfield Institute of
Technology, also in the United Kingdom. Mr. Roig also received a
MBA from The Darden Graduate School of Business at the University
of Virginia.
