John Rogers

  • John Rogers is an attorney, businessman, and educator engaged in counseling and strategic business research related to international business activities.   He is the President of the Midwest US-China Association, a coalition of 12 Midwestern states which seeks to attract inbound Chinese investment to the region, and he is the founder of TANA (Transforming Asia - North America),  an organization that is focused on assisting companies in cross-border M&A and strategic alliances.  Based in Chicago and Shanghai, he is also engaged in private consulting with international companies on strategic options in seeking to expand their operations abroad as well as assisting those companies in executing their plans.

 

  • Mr. Rogers is a seasoned business person who has established businesses around the world with an emphasis on the manufacturing sector, and was previously the Chief Financial Officer of a company with operations in five countries.

 

  • He currently teaches a program at the University of Chicago, in conjunction with Peking University's International MBA program, that engages American interest in learning of China and Chinese business practices.  He recently received an appointment as a Guest Professor at Beijing Language and Culture University in the International Finance College.

 

  • Mr. Rogers earned a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, a Juris Doctorate (JD) from The John Marshall Law School, Chicago, and an undergraduate degree (BA, Economics) from the University of Illinois at Springfield.    He frequently lectures in the United States and China on strategy issues, corporate governance and international business ethics, as well as commerce with China.
