Dr. Luann Stemler, MIS, and Michael Rogers, Computer Science, conducted a “Students in Information Technology” Conference for high school teachers held at Millikin on October 24th. Company speakers included representatives from State Farm, Jones & Thomas, ADM, Tate & Lyle, St. Mary’s Hospital, Decatur Memorial Hospital, and Caterpillar.

Ms. Sharon Alpi, Coleman Foundation Professor of Entrepreneurship, and Mr. Bruce Nims, Entrepreneur-in-Residence, attended the Bernelli University Entrepreneurship Study Experience in Riva Del Garda, Italy in preparation for taking students to Bernelli next summer. |
Dr. Munoz has started a campus radio show entitled “Business Insights,” which will air occasional interviews with local and international business leaders. The first interview was conducted with President, Surgical Devices of Covidien – Mr. Scott Flora, ’74.

Dr. Mark Munoz, Associate Professor of International Business, published his newest book titled A Salesman in Asia.

Dr. Tatiana Isakovski, Assistant Professor of Finance, has returned from her visiting professorship appointment at Tunghai University, Taiwan. She taught a finance course for Tunghai students during the spring 2007 semester. |

Future Offering of Minors |
Faculty Member's Recent Award |
The faculty are reviewing and revising the Tabor School offerings of academic minors. Planned changes include providing minors in Finance, Information Technology, and Entrepreneurship. It is believed these minors will better serve all students.

Dr. Cheryl Chamblin, Professor of Economics, was recently elected to the national board of directors of the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE). Chamblin was elected as a Director-At-Large and will serve a two-year term.

| Dr. Pettus Releases Another Book |
Dr. Pettus just released another book called Strategic Management for the Capstone Business Simulation: Analysis and Assessment. 2nd Edition.
This book is a supplement for the internationally used business simulation, which is used by hundreds of schools and thousands of individual teams. |
