Synopsis
Did you ever want something so badly that you would be willing to sell your soul to the Devil in order to get it?  Well Joy Boyd, a died-in-the-wool Washington Senator’s fan does just that in the smash Broadway musical, Damn Yankees.  Having watched the Senators lose to the Yankees time and time again, Joe Boyd strikes a deal with the Devil and is transformed into a young long-ball hitter named Joe Hardy so he can lead his favorite team to victory over those damn Yankees. However, Joe’s deal includes an out-clause.  If the Senators win the pennant before his time runs out, the Devil forfeits his claim to Joe’s soul and Joe gets to return to his beloved wife, Meg.  The Devil, however, humiliated that he was suckered into such a lousy deal, has no intention of allowing Joe’s soul to slip through his fingers.  To ensure a victory for himself, the Devil dispatches his secret weapon, a vamp named Lola, to manipulate and distract Joe from his goal.  Will Joe be able to lead his team to victory before time runs out, or will Lola’s charms hand the Devil his soul.  It’s a musical!  What do you think?
Originally directed and choreographed by the legendary Bob Fosse, and starring Gwen Verdon as Lola, this hit musical features the songs:  Two Lost Souls, Whatever Lola Wants, A Little Brains A Little Talent, Goodbye Old Girl and Those Were the Good Old Days.
