In
1975, A Chorus Line opened the eyes, ears, and hearts of not only the
Broadway community, but the world, telling its touching and embracing
stories of the Broadway “gypsy”. It brought to life the heart
and soul of anyone who has ever danced in a chorus or stepped in time
to the beat of a marching band.
This production gives me the opportunity to pass the “gift”
along to yet another generation of young hopefuls who put themselves,
“on the line”. After 30 years of continued success, A Chorus
Line still touches us in new ways as we watch them put themselves through
the “drill” to becoming one of the few to make it. As the
show proves, the desire to be one of those “gypsies” will
never end!
I hope that you enjoy this original 1975 recreation of A Chorus Line presented
to you as Michael Bennett would have wanted you to experience it.
As a long standing member of the ACL family, I am proud to continue Michael
Bennett's wish to always, “keep the truth alive”.
