EDGE PROGRAM ASSESSMENT

The primary goal of this assessment project was to determine how Edge program goals relate to university-wide objectives. The Edge task force reviewed persistence data (ACT & SAT scores vs. 1-year retention rates) and administered a questionnaire at the end of the Fall 2004 semester to assess the efficacy of the various Edge program components. The project enabled the task force to identify the most beneficial aspects of the Edge program as well as how to improve program components to better equip at-risk students for meeting academic challenges.
