HONORS PROGRAM STUDENT LEARNING ASSESSMENT PROGRAM

This project will enable four faculty members to develop a clear assessment mechanism for the university's Honors Program curriculum. This will be accomplished through a series of summer workshops and meetings. The anticipated project outcomes will include:

1. a list of three overarching learning goals for the program;
2. an alignment of specific course learning goals for Honors Seminars;
3. a list of learning goals for JMS courses;
4. the development of assessment mechanisms for the above goals; and
5. a mechanism to use assessment results to improve and refine the program over time.
