All-State String Seminar provides an opportunity for students to work with our String and Orchestra faculty on the IMEA audition music. Activities will include coaching on the required excerpts, a clinic How to Prepare for a College Audition with Dr. Neal Smith, Coordinator of Instrumental Music Education, sectional rehearsals, and mock auditions.

AGAIN THIS YEAR! Best of Seminar Awards. Four students: Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass will receive a certificate entitling them to two free tickets to an MDSO concert, an opportunity to “sit in” with the MDSO at a rehearsal, and a free private lesson with a university faculty member.

Wednesday, October 1, 2014, 8:00 am – 3:00 pm bring your best students to join with those from other high schools around the state to “jump-start” their audition preparation! Leave fired up to play your best at the ILMEA District Auditions!  Cost is $15 per student. Lunch is provided.
