Getting Information about PACE
Prospective students can learn about the PACE program in several ways:
1. PACE Website
The information on these PACE pages should answer most questions about the program, including specifics for each major and application information.
2. PACE Info Sessions
PACE offers Open Houses throughout the year and interested adults are encouraged to attend. The Open Houses provide an overview of the majors offered in the accelerate, evening format, and advisors are on hand to answer questions.
Info Sessions on the Millikin campus
The one hour Info Session is held in the Student Programming and Entertainment Center (SPEC) located at Wood Street and Oakland Avenue. Click here to RSVP.
3. Contact the PACE Admission Counselor
Our Admission Counselor is always available to answer questions about the program. She can be reached at 217.420.6771 or firstname.lastname@example.org. She also visits area community colleges and businesses.
Applications for admission are accepted throughout the academic year, as students may begin classes throughout the semester, although courses in the major typically start at the beginning of each academic semester (January and July). Admission is based upon a thorough and comprehensive review of the online application, work experience, and complete academic background.
Applicants need to submit the following materials:

Once all the application materials have been received, the transcripts will be evaluated by the Registrar and an admission decision will be made. The applicant will be notified by mail.
It is understood that many people might be concerned about their academic performance because of prior educational experiences or a gap in time since last attending school. Please know that the PACE program will give you a chance to prove yourself.
Steps after Admission
Once you are admitted, you will be directed to your next steps to enrolling for courses. Newly admitted students are given Millikin email addresses and passwords and are directed to the MyMillikin portal within the Millikin website which provides detailed information and instructions for new PACE students. You will need to schedule an appointment with your advisor to register for courses and you will be asked for a $150 deposit to secure your space. This is a deposit that will applied to your first tuition bill.
Prior to the beginning of classes, you will be required to attend an Orientation session at the Millikin campus in Decatur, obtain a Millikin I.D., submit health forms, and take a math placement test (not applicable if you transfer in math courses at a college level). PACE advisors will provide more information after you have been admitted.
